Short Bio:
Zarmine Zeitountsian has an extensive background in international finance, non-profit management, the private sector, and academia. Her extensive track record includes entrepreneurial and marketing leadership in the United States, Russia, and Armenia. She started her career in the emerging banking industry in Russia as the Deputy Head of the Foreign Exchange Department of the Moscow Bank of Technology. She continued her banking career in the United States as a Corporate Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo, where she participated in business development efforts to execute integrated sales strategies to support business growth and increase market share by identifying qualified referrals and prospects and maintaining strong and profitable relationships with clients. She conducted over 25 industry analyses in various sectors and originated, evaluated, and underwrote transactions related to traditional commercial lending, long-term mortgage financing, and asset-based loans, providing risk assessment, structuring credit terms, and coordinating the due diligent effort. After receiving her MBA degree Ms. Zeitountsian moved to Armenia in 2010 to contribute to her home country and has worked in the fields of tourism development, marketing, fundraising, project management, and development through holding various managerial positions. As the Project Manager of the Tatev Revival Project at the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia, Ms. Zeitountsian successfully led one of the large-scale regional development projects in Armenia. Other positions she has held include Development Director of the RVVZ Foundation and Dilijan International School of Armenia (UWC Dilijan), Communications Director at the American University of Armenia, and Marketing lead at the USAID financed My Armenia Program in Armenia. From 2016 to 2018 Zarmine was appointed as the inaugural Chair of the newly established State Tourism Committee of Armenia. During her chairmanship, Armenia experienced over 18% growth in tourism numbers. She currently manages the Graduate Certificate Program in Hospitality and Tourism at the American University of Armenia. She teaches Integrated Marketing Communications and Sales Management at the American University of Armenia and Tourism Marketing, Branding, and Consumer Behavior at the Public Administration Academy of the RA. She also holds various training courses for integrated community development funded by various EU and other international programs.
