My view: (Please briefly describe your view on the three concepts below)

Education should be both practical and theoretical at the same time. At least in theory.
People producing research are lucky--they satisfy their curiosity at the expense of others. The society is lucky if the research is usable.
Without the interaction with the community higher education is always in the danger of isolation and irrelevance. We should listen in order to lead.

Short Bio:

Vache Gabrielyan specializes in public administration and economics. He studied mathematical economics at the Yerevan State University and received both his MPA and Ph.D. in Public Administration from Rutgers University. Dr. Gabrielyan has served as Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (2008-2010), Minister of Finance (2010-2012), Minister-Chief of Government Staff (2013-2014), Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister (May – November 2014), as well as the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, and the Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms (2014-2018). While in public service, he taught at Yerevan State University (1998-2010) and at AUA since 1999. Since January of 2019 Dr. Vache Gabrielyan is the Dean of the Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics (CBE).
